




Pan-Asia International School congratulates our debaters in the recent World Scholar’s Cup Bangkok Round held at Denla British School last May 31-June 1, 2025. Our school sent 8 teams, with 10 students joining for the first time, and collected 92 medals, with 32 Golds and 60 Silvers. All 8 teams qualified for the Global Round in Bangkok this coming September.
Muna Sentiyanont from the Senior Team won 2nd Place in Collaborative Writing. Her team with Sofia and Laurene finished 3rd Place in Team Writing earning them a trophy as well. Swati and Deema from the Senior teams finished in Top 10 of the youngest Seniors, placing top 7 and 8 respectively.
Pimsa from Grade 7, and a first timer in the event, collected the most medals in Juniors with 8, 2 Golds and 6 Silvers. Sofia and Lana collected 7 medals each for the seniors. Close to 600 students from around Thailand participated in the annual prestigious event, where students competed in many different academic competitions such as Scholar’s Challenge, Scholar’s Bowl, Collaborative Writing and Team Debate.
In Juniors, the team of Yoyo, Freija and Karim got the most golds with 8 while the team of Azra , Jeyyah and Anushka topped the medal tally with 12 total medals. It was also their team’s first time joining the competition. Another first-timers in the competition are the tandem of BB and Lyon who managed to combine for 11 medals. Capping the juniors medal tally is the team of Ruyi, Kan and Zaima who achieved 7 medals combined as first time participants.
In Seniors, the team of Sofia, Laurene and Muna amassed a total of 18 medals, followed by the team of Satang, Swati and Ali Shah with 12 combined medals. The team of Lana and Timmy managed to collect 11 medals in total while the team of Hana, Deema and Tul finished with 10 medals together.
“The activities were fun and I enjoyed it a lot being able to spend time with my team and meeting new people. I think I’d wanna go to next year’s WSC too, hopefully.”–
