Below, PAIS Math department shares news of the latest way students is exploring important math topics and improving their math skills.

Next Academic Year, a new online mathematics learning resource, Manga High, will be rolled out to mathematics classes from Years 1 to 11. Manga High is a games-based mathematics learning website where students learn via multiple-choice quizzes and games set by their teacher. Many students at the school have already used the site during lessons and PAIS Math teacher Mr.Benjamin BROWN was supervising students.

Several students even do optional challenges and play games such as Bidmas Blaster and Piñata Fever just for fun! As students’ complete challenges they earn virtual medals – Bronze, Silver or Gold, based on the number of correct answers. Questions are adapted to the individual student depending on how well they are doing.

To encourage healthy competition, there are leaderboards for each challenge as well as medal tables for the whole school.
