Thailand Mother’s Day Inspires PAIS to Write Poems and Take Photos of their Mom

Every year, Thai celebrates the Mother’s day in August.  This year is very special for Pan-Asia International school as it initiated the first Mother’s Day Poetry Writing Competition and the Super Mom Photo Contest.

Students have submitted their entries, and all their submissions were great.  This contest brought out the students creativity and expression of love and honor to their mom.

In Middle School, James Christopher Talens, an MYP Year 3 student, won in the Poetry Writing Competition, and in High School, both Melike Gencer and Phakram Nopharatana won the contest.

Thanachart Suwanatee won first place in the Super Mom Photo contest in the primary category, whereas in the secondary category, Ruwaida Lohfaw got first place,  Xiru Lyu got the second place, and Natthasit Sittisang won third place.

Their photo captions were heart-melting, stating pure love and being proud of their moms, such as: “I laugh with her, she laughs with me. She is ever best in my life,” by Thanachart, “Whenever I look at you, your face brightens up my world. Whenever I think of you, there’s always a smile waiting for me back home,” by Ruwaida, “Best mom in the world,” by Xiru, and “My life without you seems like the earth without the sun,” by Natthasit.

This competition held during the celebration of the Mother’s Day is very meaningful as it reflects how children show love, honor, and respect to their moms.  We congratulate everyone who participated in this wholesome event and will continue to make this happen every year in this institution.
