PAIS Volunteers Distribute Donations to the Mourners at the Grand Palace

The whole PAIS Community volunteered and raised donations for its initiative to distribute water, inhalers, food, and other necessary stuff to the mourners at the Grand Palace and Sanam Luang Area, as a tribute to King Rama 9 during His Majesty’s lying in state, on Tuesday, 29, November 2016.

Albeit the hot weather, volunteers felt glad to participate in this cause. They witnessed how much Thai people expressed love, respect, and appreciation to King Bhumibol Adulyadej, whom they referred to as the “People’s King.”

The cause was initiated by the PAIS Thai Director, Ms. Sumalee Wichaidit, who encouraged the PAIS community to do good for the King, and developed a sense of responsibility through helping others. “The king is more than the father of Thailand, and we need to do something for him, to honor his goodness and dedication to improve the lives of people in this country,” stated Ms. Sumalee, inspiring everyone to join hand in hand to participate and contribute for this cause. “It was such a wonderful experience that PAIS is actively involved in a nationwide activity,” she added.

PAIS would like to thank all those who have participated, the Admin and Staff, the volunteers, parents, and especially the donors, for without their never-ending support, this effort would not have been possible.
