King's Day 2016

PAIS Thai Department organized the King’s Day program on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 on the initiative of Ms. Husna and Ms. Janna. It involved students from all levels, who joined competitions such as coloring and singing for KG1 to Grade 3, essay writing about being good to the father for Grades 4 and 5, volunteering for Grades 6 and 7, board decoration showcasing the King and his works for Grades 8 and 9, doing a model of Royal duties for Grade 10, and group singing for Grades 11 and 12. Students learned more about our Royal King’s project, and the students got to know how to cooperate by having a sense of social responsibility, and by being a volunteer.

For seven decades, His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej has been Thailand’s guiding light. The monarch, regarded far and wide as Father of the nation, took the country out of several deadly turns with his wise counsel. His fortitude and devotion to human development were an inspiration to all.

Regardless of the differences and disparities across Thai society, His Majesty was a solitary constant, a beacon of hope for Thais rich and poor, young and old, rural farmers and urban residents alike. His Majesty King Bhumibol’s selflessness, generosity and compassion will always be remembered. To honor the monarch, Thais must learn to follow his footsteps and carry on his royal legacies.

The reason we conducted this activities is that our students would get to know more about Royal king’s project. Our students will be inspired to follow the golden rules in remembrance of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. This activity started with the Thai National Anthem and ended with the Royal Song. Ms. Sumalee Wichaidit, Thai Director, addressed everyone in her opening message with words of encouragement and appreciation to honor the King. The whole program has been made smooth by the EMCEE, Roetainata "Nunie" Charoonkolrak, Student Council Secretary.
