Admissions Procedures
 

Registration Period
Admission is open to all students of any nationality who fulfill our admissions criteria. Students may be admitted at any time during the school year.

 

Application Process

1. Admission begins with the completion of an application form which may be obtained by:
a. Applying at the school in person
b. Requesting a form be e-mailed, mailed, or faxed
c. Obtaining the form at the PAIS web site
 
2. Upon completion and submission of the application, all applicants will be screened in regards to health,     behavior, and academic history prior to approval.
 
3. Upon application approval,  parents must:
a. Make available to the school report cards/evaluations from previous schools attended.
b. Pay a non-refundable application and processing fee of 5,000 baht.
c.Complete an admissions form.
 
4. An appointment will be arranged for an interview with the prospective student and the completion of
    written entrance assessments. During this process, special attention is paid to the student’s English
    language proficiency and discipline records. All applicants will be treated equally, fairly and without
    prejudice.
a. PLEASE NOTE: If the student demonstrates difficulty with English, he/she may be admitted with the
    provision that he/she will seek additional tutoring in English until he/she is up to the required standard.     If the student’s language proficiency is very low, he/she may be admitted to PAIS and required to take     Intensive English classes for as long as is required for the student to reach an intermediate level of     English language proficiency. Upon determination that a student has attained a minimum of     intermediate English language proficiency, the student will become eligible to join the mainstream     curriculum.

b. At the Early Childhood level (Pre-Nursery to Kindergarten) children are screened to determine     developmental stages in respect to overall knowledge, language development, motor skills, and social     and emotional development. A child’s performance in these areas should be those expected for the age     of the child. Special emphasis is placed on language development. At the Pre-Kindergarten and     Kindergarten level, pre-academic concepts and skills in the areas of reading and mathematics are     screened as well.

c. At the Primary, Middle, and High school levels (Grades 1-10) students are assessed in the following     areas and are expected to meet the norm in line with the child's age and grade level:
    i.   Reading Fluency (English)
    ii.  Reading Comprehension (English)
    iii. Vocabulary Development (English)
    iv. Speaking and Listening Skills (English)
    v.  Writing (English)
    vi. Mathematics Skills

Admission

5. Upon the student’s acceptance to the school after completing the testing and interview process, you will     be asked to submit the following documents required for admission:
 

Thai Students:

For Students:
1. A copy of residence certificate
2. A copy of birth certificate
3. A medical report (the form is provided by the school )
4. 2 color photos (2”)
For Parents:
1. A copy of each parent’s residence certificate & ID card
2. 2 color photos (2”) of each parent or guardian
 

Foreign Students:

For Students:
1. A copy of passport and visa
2. A medical report (the form is provided by the school )
3. 2 color photos (2”)
For Parents:
1. A copy of passport and visa
2. 2 color photos (2”) of each parent or guardian
 
6. After you have paid the enrollment fee, the Accounting Department will issue you an invoice for all other     expenses. This must be paid by the date stipulated on your invoice.
